Senior Activity Instructor aka CAMP LEADER
This role involves management of a team of Tribe Leaders and Field Cook, as well as the day-to-day responsibilities of running an inspiring residential camp, you will be looking after your camp through facilitating activities for students during their stay with us. We will teach you all you need, then you will ensure our high standards, quality, pastoral care, safeguarding, health and safety are maintained throughout. This role requires enthusiasm, passion, and to lead by example as you will be a role model for young people, ensuring they leave camp with positive memories that will last them a lifetime.
You do not necessarily need to come from an outdoor education background, or indeed a bushcraft background (we employ many ex-teachers but there is no typical ‘sort of person’), as you will complete extensive in-house training, and mentoring before you work on a course. However, you do need to want to be part of a team whose aim is not simply to give students a taste of adventure, but to inspire a lifetime of it.
The Bushcraft Company are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.
- Where necessary share appropriate information with professionals and/or colleagues as may be required to keep everyone safe.
